3:9. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ನನಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು. ಇದು ನನಗೆ ಸರಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಪ್ಪುಗಳ ನಡುವಿರುವ ಭೇದವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಮಹಾಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಆಳುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು.

3:9. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ವಿಚಾ ರಿಸಲು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡ ಬೇಕು. ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಹು ಗುಂಪಾದ ಜನರ ನ್ಯಾಯ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲು ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವನು ಯಾವನು ಅಂದನು.

3:9. So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours."
